Artist Statement In 1900 Kodak introduced the "Brownie" camera. It was a basic camera, nothing fancy about it. People took their pictures, and sent the camera in to Kodak to get the pictures developed. The pictures, and the camera loaded with film, were then sent back. Today digital cameras have become the easiest way to take a picture. Whatever the method, the idea behind taking a picture is suspending time. A photograph is a moment in time, usually 1/125th of a second. That is an incredibly small amount of time. Yet, in that moment the old axiom, that a picture is worth a thousand words, comes true.
What you see in my photographs is my world view, the beauty that is everywhere if you just take a moment to look.
